The Ponient Pirámide Salou by PortAventura World (formerley Medplaya Piramide) received its name from its central glass pyramid, and is a very good example of an accessible hotel in a convenient central resort location.

The 4* hotel's open lobby, spacious rooms, wide lifts and friendly staff all combine to help wheelchair-users enjoy a relaxing and barrier-free holiday. The accommodation is also suitable for both couples and families, with its range of facilities that include entertainment for both children and adults.

All accessible rooms are well-adapted with both bathroom and wheel-in shower, and interconnecting rooms are available on request.

Location

200m from Salou’s vibrant resort centre and 500m from the beach. The seafront features a long flat walkway which is easily accessible.

Auditor's Review

The hotel caters well for disabled guests and the staff are very keen to help with every aspect of accessibility, manoeuvring around the hotel and pool area is relatively barrier-free but there are some narrow and uneven pavements to avoid outside the hotel grounds.
