Accessible City Breaks in Utrecht
Utrecht, the fourth-largest city in the Netherlands, is perfect for a short break. This historic Dutch city is known for its waterfront dining and ancient city centre. Sit alongside the canal, sipping a coffee or eating a meal, as you watch the world and the boats go by. Or spend some time browsing the local markets and boutiques, followed by a visit to the city’s shopping mall, Hoog Catharijne. Utrecht is also home to the Miffy (Nijntje) Museum, based on the books written by Dutch author Dick Bruna, about the famous little rabbit, as well as Central Museum Utrecht, with its collection of old, modern and fashion pieces. And for something slightly different, try the Museum Speelklok, where you will find a vast collection of mechanical musical instruments, from musical boxes to barrel organs.
