Check out of your hotel in Agra and receive an adapted transfer to Ranthambore National Park, where you’ll be visiting Fatehpur Sikri en-route, an abandoned city glowing red under the sun which was once the seat of the Mughal legacy.
It was abandoned soon after it was built, and it remains today in much the same condition that it was over 300 years ago. It is complete with palaces and mosques and used to be a town larger than London when it was first constructed. Now it is an extraordinary place to wander around with its buildings which are still nearly in perfect condition.
After your visit, you can have lunch in Bharatpur, before continuing to drive to Ranthambore and checking in to your hotel. Once a private game reserve of the Royal House of Jaipur, Ranthambore National Park and Tiger Reserve is one of the world’s best-known wilderness areas. Located on a junction of some of the geologically oldest mountain ranges, Ranthambore offers some of the best opportunities for sighting magnificent tigers in the wild. Apart from tigers, you can also spot sloth, bears, leopards, foxes, hyena and more, all at Ranthambore.
Today, you will enjoy an afternoon of safari excursions via an exclusive jeep taking you around the National Park to witness animals in their natural habitat and experience some wild encounters. All meals will be enjoyed at the hotel, and you’ll spend the night in Ranthambore, ready for tomorrows adventures.
Your morning and afternoon will be spent on your exclusive jeep again, taking you around the grounds in search of animals that you may have missed the day before. This full-day excursion allows you to get the most out of the area and gives you the best chance of encountering as many of the National Park and Tiger Reserve’s inhabitants as possible.
