Malta is special for a number of reasons; often described as the "Heart of the Mediterranean" it has a history that stretches over 7,000 years as well as an astonishing array of sights to discover.

For those of you seeking some culture, you'll find two of Malta's pre-historic temples here, the Hagar Qim and Mnajdra, both are well worth the visit. Marsascala is a charming and peaceful harbour town, which comes to life at night, as locals and tourists alike flock there to sample some of the excellent seafood on offer.

The fascinating medieval walled town of Medina largely dominates central Malta; it is considered one of Europe's finest examples of an ancient walled city. Its history dates back more than 4,000 years and the Apostle St Paul is beleaved to have lived here after being shipwrecked on the Islands.
