The town of Es Castell is known to be Spain's most easterly town and the first to be bathed in the sun each morning. Despite the town's British military history being evident in its architecture and museums, the overall sense one feels when walking its streets is peace.
There are not a vast quantity of options for beach bathing, but the town's charm and historic nature keep it an appealing destination for a family holiday. While the two sandy coves are small, they are perfect for sunbathing and offer calm waters suitable for children or people with limited mobility to enjoy.
Great local and international food is served in the town centre and at the Cala Fonts harbour.
